ESS JOB DESCRIPTION
Division: Recycling
Job Title: Scale House Operator
Supervisor: Director of Recycling
Hrs/week 40
JOB PURPOSE
Provide solutions to our recycling customers by being the first point of contact on the yard, as well as by accurately reporting load and material weight.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrive at work on time
- Weigh trucks in and out
- Provide excellent customer service; assist customers in unloading and loading
- Inspecting and identifying non-recyclable materials
- Input inventory data to spreadsheet
- Grading recyclable metals
- Practice safe operating procedures, including wearing proper PPE
- General material handling
- General warehouse maintenance and daily housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
SKILLS
- Proficiency in reading and writing, mathematics, and basic computer skills
- Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours
- Coachable and willing to learn
- Ability to work as a team player
- Communicate effectively with customers, management and teammates
- Comfortable working in proximity to heavy equipment

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
