What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality inspector position at Essentra?
Essentra is immediately hiring for a Quality Inspector at our Erie, PA production facility to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for developing and documenting multiple testing and inspection of injection molded and dip molded parts, and documenting the results.
The Quality Inspector will maintain a record of test and measurement equipment in accordance with calibration standards and requirements.
We are hiring for 3rd Shift (10 : 00pm - 6 : 30am) - Starting at $15.50 / hour $2.00 differential

- Experience in healthcare does not apply to this position.

As a Quality Inspector you will :
- Communicate all quality requirements to Machine Operators and Supervisors as necessary.
- Fill out quality documentation as needed (Quality and Manufacturing).
- File / store inspection samples and inspection documentation.
- Perform first inspection of part
- Perform in-process attribute / functional gauging.
- Isolate and document nonconforming products.
- Sort and certify rejected non-conforming products
What we are looking for :
Required :
- Ability to work 10 : 00pm - 6 : 30am, Monday - Friday
- One year of Manufacturing experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Comprehension of function of part being inspected and be able to make decisions on quality and inspection procedure(s) to use.
- Ability to work overtime as needed based on the needs of the business.
Preferred :
- Previous quality experience
- Working knowledge of measuring tools.(calipers, height gages, etc.)
- Data entry and record keeping skills (both paper and electronic)
