Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with outside counsel, federal agencies and state agencies for timely and correct filing of immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions.
- Assist with PERM Labor Certification, prevailing wage determinations, recruitment documents, and PERM applications, meticulously tracking timelines of each step. Communicate clearly and effectively to foreign nationals, HR and counsel.
- Managing and processing the timely and accurate filing of a high volume of U.S. immigration applications and/or petitions.
- Interacting directly with government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, and/or the Department of State.
- Performing legal research.
- Maintain Public Access Files
- Utilizing interactive databases as well as MS Office Suite, including Outlook scheduling and e-mail systems, to closely monitor foreign national employees cases to ensure that they maintain lawful work status.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in researching legal matters;
- Experience with: MS Office Suite, Immigration case management databases, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Minimum of 3 years immigrant and non-immigrant corporate legal immigration experience (in-house strongly preferred).
- In-depth theoretical understanding of immigration law, labor certification, and processes.
- Ability to manage and process high volume of cases in organized manner to ensure federal compliance regulations, deadlines and corporate business needs are met;
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks, including policy development, implementation and enforcement;
- Excellent written and oral communication and people skills;
- Excellent organizational and project resolution skills; and consistent attention to detail.
- 2-year college degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience
