Job Description
We are looking for a Medical administrative assistant to join our Ethan Health team! You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service for our patients.
As a Medical administrative assistant, you will perform various tasks on a daily basis. So, you should be able to multitask and prioritize. We also expect you to handle sensitive information confidentially. If you are able to combine exceptional communication skills with an ability to perform ‘behind the scenes’ tasks, we would like to meet you.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our medical facility’s smooth operation by accurately completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Check-in/out patients daily/confirm appointments
- Scan Insurance cards and Photo ID
- Update demographic information and insurance profiles
- Obtain medical records
- Collect all patient copays
- Review paperwork and witness consents
- Scan charts
- Record all RX in DEA log
- Schedule all initial visits as well as follow-up appointments
- Follow-up with non-compliance
- Record all discharged patients/send out discharge letters
- Pay medical office bills/Order supplies
- Provide educational material for patients
- Monitor and report productivity and compliance
Qualifications
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and One Drive.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must have ability to work in a high pace and stressful environment with long working hours required, handle multiple tasks, and complete task in a timely fashion.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of insurance and prior experience working in addiction/recovery and behavioral health preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $13.00 per hour
