Summary
Ethic Tech, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, leading onboarding activities, and providing general HR support. The ideal candidate will promote a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with applicable employment regulations and federal contracting requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure a seamless and compliant hiring process in alignment with federal contracting requirements.
- Maintain applicant tracking and candidate records using UKG Ready or other applicant tracking systems.
- Support social media initiatives and employer branding to attract high-quality candidates and promote company culture.
Onboarding
- Lead onboarding from offer acceptance through new hire orientation and early employee engagement.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, E-Verify, and security clearances as required.
- Manage onboarding workflows and documentation in UKG Onboarding.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires to ensure a positive and smooth onboarding experience.
General HR Support
- Ensure HR operations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and federal contractor requirements.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; ensure data integrity in UKG Ready.
- Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, process improvements, and policy implementation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 - 4 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year supporting a federal contractor (required).
- Proficient in HRIS and applicant tracking systems; UKG Ready or UKG Pro experience highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and federal contractor compliance (e.g., SCA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, VEVRAA, Section 503).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with employees at all levels.
- Creative mindset and experience in using social media for talent acquisition and employer branding are a plus.
