The ASE CertifiedMechanical Claims Adjuster position requires using hands-on technical experience to assist customers over the phone in a professional manner. Technical knowledge of vehicles is used to process claim requests more effectively and efficiently.
This position appeals to experienced and well-spoken mechanics that wish to use their skills and interest in cars in a different way. The day-to-day work includes taking calls over the phone and working on the computer to enter claim information. The hours and compensation are more consistent than what is found in a retail store environment. We have a strong team that works together and provides training that is needed to get the job done.
Essential Duties:
Receive inbound calls from dealer clients, service advisors, repair facilities, and retail customers regarding filing vehicle service contract claims
Determine eligibility and coverage through interpretation of contracts and other documents
Verify pricing of parts and labor charges according to industry accepted pricing guides
Determine the necessity and appropriateness of the requested repair or benefit according to repair manuals and industry standards
Assign on site inspectors when warranted
Purchase replacement parts and arrange delivery when necessary
Document relevant information regarding claims in a custom computer system
Assist contract holders and repair facilities with document submission to facilitate prompt claims payment
Perform various other duties as needed in the department
Essential Job Requirements:
Hands on experience as an automotive technician in a retail dealership environment
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to professionally communicate with customers over the phone
ASE Certification
Proficient with computers and Microsoft office
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
Team player and outstanding work ethic
Typing (minimum 40WPM)

Fully remote work Monday-Friday (10-7 CST) and one rotating Saturday a month (8-2 CST)
