The Hospital

AEC is an AAHA accredited emergency hospital, established in 1974. In 2017 we closed our old clinic and opened our new 10,000 square foot facility, designed by practicing veterinarians, to provide to the Inland Empire and surrounding area residents with emergency veterinary care complete with: 

• Surgical suite 
• State of the art anesthesiology, monitoring, pulse oximetry, blood testing
• Self-generating central oxygen system
• Full service in-house laboratory
• Digital radiology
• Ultrasound
• Therapeutic laser 
• Multiple examination rooms
• Comfort Room, for those final visits
• Conference Room, to review radiographs
• Spacious reception area
• Private quarters for overnight DVMs and full kitchen access

The Team

We are a family-oriented group with a welcoming culture. Our CSR's are dedicated to delivering concise, compassionate care. Our technicians adapt easily and work cohesively with all DVMs. Our DVM associates are committed to teaching, mentoring, and enhancing communication throughout the practice. 

The Schedule

• Weekdays: Overnight service Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6P--8A 
• Weekends: 24-hour service Friday 6P - Monday 8A

The Area

In 1974 when we opened our doors to provide emergency veterinary care to the residents of the surrounding Inland Empire area, it was not uncommon to hear "where is Grand Terrace?"  Today, people know where Grand Terrace is located due, in large part, to the Animal Emergency Clinic and its' 50-year history of providing quality emergency veterinary care not only to Riverside County residents, but to residents from Orange County, LA County, and even Clark County, NV. 

Nestled between the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountains, Grand Terrace has plenty to offer if you love the outdoors and Southern California climate. Approximately one hour drive east or west and you can experience the extreme in climate changes. 

Enjoy skiing at Big Bear or the crashing waves at Newport Beach. Likewise, an hour north or south and you're in Los Angeles or San Diego. A little further east is Las Vegas, Joshua Tree National Park, or Palm Springs. All of these within driving distance. You will never run out of things to do and see!
