Qualifications
- Previous experience, training, or education working in a veterinary facility is preferred. Experience in emergency or specialty medicine will be prioritized.

- Ability to lift 40 pounds, walk, bend, stand, and reach consistently during a minimum 8-hour day. With fine motor skills adequate for utilizing hospital equipment such as electric clippers, syringes, radiology equipment, laboratory equipment, computers, etc.
- Set up and keep kennels sanitary, orderly, and free of odors.
- General cleaning of the hospital includes but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, window cleaning, emptying trash, and bathroom cleaning.
- Feed, bathe, restrain, administer medications to patients, and perform TPRs as directed, with indirect supervision from Veterinary Technicians
- Keep hospital supplies well stocked
- Assist clients as needed with their pets in the hospital or out to the client’s car.
- Assist with restraint for radiographs and ultrasounds
- Assist with cleaning and set up of surgical suites
- Cross training for front office receptionist duties
- Learn and be able to demonstrate progress/proficiency throughout the year on FVRC Level Skills, hospital policies, medication calculations, and medication terminology and abbreviations, with support from the Nurse Supervisor.
