EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Test Facility Technician for our Houston, TX facility. The purpose of this role is to install, performance test and remove engines, power turbines and gearbox in accordance with defined EthosEnergy testing standards. The role will also perform skilled maintenance in the test cell so as to keep the facility in a state of readiness for the next performance test.

- Conduct necessary activities related to the preparation, installation and removal of high-speed rotating equipment in the test facility.
- Conduct necessary activities to test engines either as the lead operator or as a berth technician.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and correct equipment during the testing processes in collaboration with other production and engineering personnel.
- After the test, prepare the equipment for shipping in accordance with production requirements.
- Undertaking skilled routine maintenance in the test facility and complete clerical activities related to the continuous maintenance of the facility.
- Support production shop staff on activities related to the normal production and maintenance of the business as required.
- Collaborate with the completion of activities related to 6S and Lean initiatives lead by the company.
- Conduct all activities with the highest degree of safety awareness in all areas for self and others in surrounding working areas.
- Strong ability to perform millwright activities associated with the installation, alignment and removal of gas turbine engines, power turbines and gearboxes in a test berth.
- Strong ability to align high-speed equipment using dial indicators and laser equipment.
- Understanding of gas turbine operation and performance.
- Familiarity with the use of PLC and HMI controls.
- Proficient at using Excel.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical / hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings of pneumatic systems, relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc. beneficial.
- Familiarity with electrical / electronic / controls / instrumentation equipment (low-medium voltage / AC-DC).
- Ability to calibrate pressure and temperature instruments.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility in support of changing external and internal customer needs.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- High-speed equipment test facility, operating gas turbine equipment in the field / plant environment or aircraft turbine operation experience preferred.
- Experience of lifting using bridge cranes, slings and lifting fixtures.
- Knowledge of and proactive engagement on HSE requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to interpret audible and visual indictors and safety alarms.
- Able to use 2-way radios in English (with and without headsets).
- Able to climb on and off equipment skids.
- Able to work outside and in a non-air conditioned / partially air-conditioned working environment.
- Able to work adjacent to operational machines with provided PPE.
- Able to lift 35lb (solo lift).
