Electrical Test Instruments, LLC (ETI) is looking for a talented and experienced Assembly Technician to join its growing team! This is a full-time role offering competitive pay and great benefits, including strong health and 401(k) plans. The Assembly Technician will build a variety of electro-mechanical instruments used for testing circuit breakers and other important electrical safety systems. As an ISO 9001:2015-accredited business serving critical commercial and industrial needs, ETI maintains rigorous quality standards in our assembly processes. Your role as an Assembly Technician is vital for both our customers’ and ETI’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

The Assembly Technician will primarily be responsible for building electro-mechanical test equipment. This job may require occasional travel to customer facilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Assemble low-voltage high-current circuit breaker testers, power supplies, and various related components and sub-assemblies;
• Utilize a soldering station in the assembly of circuit boards;
• Troubleshoot, test, repair, and retrofit a variety of electro-mechanical equipment;
• Direct and assist junior technicians with sub-assemblies and assemblies, as appropriate;
• Identify and implement improvements in ETI’s assembly systems and processes;
• Maintain customer, vendor, and equipment databases;
• Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes and update procedures accordingly;
• Manage customer relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive the timely turnaround of equipment.
  
  

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. At least three years of related electro-mechanical assembly experience required; five to seven years preferred.
• Formal quality management training, trade school education, and/or experience preferred.
• Familiarity and experience with hand tools and power tools. Basic technical knowledge of electronic principles as well as experience using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs.
• Comfort working with high-current and high-voltage equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background security check.
