Job Description
- Endotoxin and bioburden testing
- General lab duties (cleaning, stocking, cold room 5S, etc.)
- Challenge recovery of drug substance and raw material
- Preparation of microbial cultures used in for validation protocols, developmental studies, and growth promotion
- Growth promotion testing
- Mold spore suspensions
- Water activity testing
- Plate reading
- Data verification and review
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or other related degree concentration
- 1-2 years related experience, preferable in a quality control microbiology laboratory
- Standard microbiological methods and aseptic laboratory technique experience such as bioburden (membrane filtration) and endotoxin (LAL) testing
- Knowledge of cGMP preferred
- Experience working in a laboratory setting
- Experience with LIMS and Electronic laboratory notebooks
- Proficiency with MS word and excel
- Understanding of experimental design and scientific methodology in order to interpret results and draw conclusions
