Europa Village is looking for a full-time Restaurant Line Cook. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality. Fine dining experience is a plus. Minimum of two years Line Cook experience is a must.
Line Cook Reports to
- Executive Chef
- Possess and live Europa Village core values.
- Sets up, cleans and organizes work stations.
- Prepares the menu items following the recipes in accordance with Bolero at Europa Village’s standards.
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of all menus, recipes, food quality standards and regulations.
- Ascertains that all ingredients and supplies are made available at the beginning of each shift.
- Takes orders from wait staff or computerized system.
- Highly skilled at multi-tasking. Able to monitor several items cooking at one time.
- Ensures that high-quality food items are served every time.
- Follows all standard food handling, sanitation and health department guidelines.
- Assists in maintaining and stocking designated stations, freezers, refrigerators and store room with food products daily.
- Works at a quick pace in order to get food out in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Create and foster an environment of “teamwork” by helping fellow employees or guests without a second thought.
- Be able to communicate Europa Village’s story.
- Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
- Arrive at work prepared with excellent personal presentation standards and clean, pressed uniform and appropriate pants and shoes.
- Arrive on time and be respectful of attendance and punctuality.
- Adhere to Europa Village policies and procedures.
- Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.
- Keep eye out for attention to detail.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
