As a Solar Project Coordinator, you will help manage all aspects of our commercial solar installations from proposal planning to permission to operate. You will work closely with the internal project team, multiple subcontractors, and vendors to manage budgets and schedules, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained throughout each project's lifecycle.

Title: Project Coordinator
Status: Full Time
Location: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Reports to: Senior Project Manager
Pay Range*: This is an hourly position offering: $36 - $40/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing and managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring on-time and on-budget project completion for our clients.
- Assist the Sr Project Manager with the management of subcontractors and vendors to ensure they meet project objectives and quality standards.
- Utilize project management software to ensure project deliverables such as RFIs, Submittals, Drawings/Specs, and QA/QC processes are delivered on time
- Conduct in-progress site walks to oversee safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Conduct project progress meetings both internally and with clients.
- Collaborate in the estimation process with our various trades partners to provide accurate project proposals.
- Support the company's safety program and adhere to OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of construction project coordination experience; experience in the commercial industry is preferred
- A willingness to learn all aspects of the solar industry.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a keen eye for details.
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and work smarter.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work and improving project efficiency through meticulous planning and organization.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while handling multiple projects.
- Proficiency in using MS Project for project planning and management.
- Experience with DSA Inspection rules would be a significant advantage.
- Must be able to climb ladders, including roof access ladders that can range from 10 feet up to 50 feet when a safety lift is not in use.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
- 20% travel to customer sites (locally) is expected; reliable transportation is required.
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Day shift. 40 hours per week. M-F position with general office hours, typically 7am-4pm, though there can be some flexibility in start and stop times. Core hours are 8am-3pm. Expect 20% local travel to customer sites.
Work Location: Currently this is a hybrid position, subject to change based on company needs.* This person will be working in-office or at a jobsite 4-days per week depending on project needs during construction. They will have the ability to also perform work from home after the first 90 days, one day a week when the construction schedule allows. This position cannot be fully remote. The candidate will need to be in Carlsbad or near the surrounding area. *During the discretionary training period, this person will need to be in the Carlsbad office 5 days per week for their scheduled hours. Once fully trained, this person would be subject to the general hybrid opportunity.
