What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery Sous Chef position at Evanston?
Hoosier Mama Pie Company, a small, artisanal bakery/cafe, is looking for a reliable, creative, Lead Pastry Cook for its Evanston location. This position works closely with the kitchen manager to maintain quality standards. May assist with menu writing, costing, recipe development and ordering. We specialize in handmade pies and pastries using the best local and seasonal ingredients we can find.
Ideal candidates should have 2 to three years baking experience in a bakery or fine dining setting. Should be highly organized and work well leading a diverse team. Should be excited about baking seasonally and willing to spend the extra time to source ingredients locally. Should be comfortable working with a menu that changes every day. Previous experience and knowledge of pies and classic American desserts is a plus.

Schedule is four 10 hour shifts per week. One weekend day is required. Definite room for growth for the right candidate. We offer competitive wages and 70% subsidized health insurance
