Position Details:

This non-exempt position is scheduled for 52 weeks per year, 8 hours per day. This is a grant-funded position and funding is available through May 2028.



Annual Wage:
$40,331

EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Full medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position. Employees may pay the additional cost to add family members. Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long-term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.


SUMMARY:

Perform a variety of duties associated with the acquisition, management, analysis, and reporting of educational data to support the goals of the Evansville Promise Neighborhood.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with the EVSC staff and community based organizations to produce data sets, reports, and dashboards through the use of data systems with information that supports the goals and objectives of the Evansville Promise Neighborhood.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets including statistical functions, pivot tables, graphing and advanced filtering.
  • Develop specifications to use when exporting and uploading data files.
  • Use tools to query data systems and compile data that addresses specific informational requests.
  • Support all aspects of data collection, entry, and management for data associated with the Evansville Promise Neighborhood.
  • Assist in all aspects of the EVSC assessment, student data, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support programs.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from other employees and work with vendors or other external agencies.
  • Collaborate with members of the Office of Accountability as well as other EVSC staff and community based organizations.
  • Maintain confidential, complete, and accurate records and files.
  • Develop protocols to ensure data cleanliness and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as tools in the Google suite
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with relational databases and basic SQL language preferred
  • Advanced skills in creating and editing presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Possess effective written communication skills

  • Ability to approach data requests thoroughly and completely
  • Knowledge of methods to extract, manipulate, and report data
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment that requires going back and forth between issues and projects multiple times per day
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of and compliance with related corporation policies and state requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Systems or community schools, or equivalent work experience required. Experience in database management and data entry. Experience in working in a team environment. Excellent computer skills and experience in working with data extraction, management, analysis and reporting, preferably in the field of education. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Experience working in a K-12 education environment preferred. Knowledge of SPSS and or other data analysis software is preferred.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
