Concrete Foreman

We currently have an opening for a competent Concrete Foreman with extensive experience in concrete footing and wall foundation assemblies. This person would serve the company's operations by managing a field crew on multiple projects throughout the year. As a footing and wall Foreman, you would be utilizing technical skills, industry experience, leadership skills, and communication skills daily. Sound decision making and safety are also imperative to the success of this position.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Completing daily paperwork, production reports, daily logs, meetings, and field extras as they occur
• Addressing and communicating both internal and external project needs, concerns, and issues
• Places and coordinates material orders and deliveries on-site case by case depending on the nature of the order material
• Optimizes efficiency with regard to planning and execution while minimizing risk and exposure
• Determines and carries out both daily planning and overall objective planning for their job site
• Oversees, supports and manages crew; supervises individual activity, assists and directs crew when needed. Assigns respective duties and delegates tasks accordingly based on the skills of the crew
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work performed, verifies measurements, quantities, and requirements for the work to be performed
• Adheres to designs and specifications as determined. Reviews and follows plans, specifications, and approved materials to be used, continuously verifying work is being performed correctly
• Schedules inspections
• Schedules and manages concrete delivery and placement equipment, i.e. power-buggy rental, pumping services, etc.
• Resolve problems when they arise

Skills

• Proven experience as a concrete foreman with extensive knowledge in footings and walls
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Knowledge and know how of layout when constructing foundations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Aptitude in math
• Problem-solving abilities
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Maintains Company Vehicle
• Communicates issues and needs relative to the vehicle to the shop foreman and coordinates repairs and maintenance as needed
• Maintains continuous care, cleaning, and stocking of vehicle

Pay

• $90,000 - $110,000 based on experience
