What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dismantler position at Everett's Auto Parts?
Job Responsibilities
Ensure that Safety, Quality Control, Organization, Cleanliness and Performance are top priorities
Wear all appropriate safety gear
Dismantle vehicles based on work orders and dismantling reports to maximize the number of quality parts removed
Perform quality inspection on parts prior to and after removal, compare parts descriptions and interchange to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
Mark, tag and locate parts in specific locations to assist warehouse staff
Remove and process cores according to company process
De-pollute vehicles and handle material according to procedures in training manual
Maintained assigned hydraulic lift and other equipment to maximize time and performance and ensure timely removal of parts for customers delivery while minimizing damaged parts
Maintain clean and organized work area
Complete and submit assigned weekly vehicle production log for approve and payroll
Understand the nuances of the Recycle OEM parts business (age, condition, availability, color, mileage, ect.)
Assist dispatch and yard staff as necessary based upon number of yard orders
MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN SETS OF TOOL INCLUDING BUT NO LIMITED TO:
- Standard and metric sockets and wrenches
- Torx bits
- Air tools as needed
- Specialty tools for Foreign makes of vehicles
Skill Sets
Automotive knowledge – mechanical parts & body parts - MANDATORY
Dismantling or repair experience - MANDATORY
Torch experience - MANDATORY
Wide variety of hand tools & pneumatic (mandatory)
