What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at Evermore Cannabis Company?

The Inventory Associate keeps track of the goods and supplies and manages orders to facilitate sales. Their duties include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products, and ensuring preparation of cannabis products for sale to the retail market.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary functions for this role are:

  • Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products
  • Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards
  • Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management
  • Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; track orders and paperwork.
  • Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receives, unpacks and label products; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
  • Does spot checks on categories of product in the vault, making sure that systematic quantities are matching the physical quantities we have.
  • Maintains full knowledge of systematic processes, like bin movements, adjustments in and out, product research, etc.
  • Update online platforms to help promote product sales.

Other essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Learn and understand seed-to-sale software requirements.
  • Identify and communicate issues and assist in troubleshooting, identifying potential solutions, and in implementing and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Help prepare for audits and assist state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with their audits as needed.
  • Track data to comply with applicable rules and to support management decision-making.
  • Contribute ideas to help improve Company’s choices for ingredients, equipment and methodologies, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.

Qualifications and Skills

These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.

Qualifications include:

High school diploma

  • Adaptability
  • Observant and detail-oriented
  • Patience and strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to understand basic scientific concepts
  • Must obtain appropriate state MED Badge
  • Must be 21 years of age and older
  • Must be able to work 38 hours per week.
  • Experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and tasks with high degree of consistency and accuracy
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Work may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking back and forth, some bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds.
  • Duties can regularly require employee to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions that require hand eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Work may require a majority of the shift being outside in different temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
