EveryMind is hiring a Full-Time Community School Coordinator to support school-based services at one of our Linkages to Learning school sites in the Montgomery County Community. As a key partner in the Montgomery County community school partnership initiative, EveryMind operates 11 of the County’s 29 Linkages to Learning sites. The Community School Coordinator is responsible for the design, development and implementation of essential school-based programs identified by the community needs assessment as part of the Linkages to Learning (LTL) to provide services to students and families across the school community.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of essential school-based programs identified by the community needs assessment as part of the Linkages to Learning (LTL) program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and maintains positive relationships with school administration, community partners, stakeholders, and donors on behalf of the LTL program and EveryMind.
2. Conducts annual Community Needs Assessment, incorporating input from key stakeholders including school administration and teachers, parents, students and other essential members of the school community.
3. Develops annual Program Plan with adaptations as necessary throughout the school year.
a. Collects and monitors data related to program efficiency
b. Conducts evaluation to monitor program success
4. Serves as liaison between assigned site and the Linkages Resource Team (LRT), school administration, and school staff.
a. Arranges and facilitates weekly referral/planning meetings between LTL staff and school administration. Documents meetings and distributes minutes in a timely manner to appropriate recipients.
b. Represents LTL at various school-sponsored events.
5. Convenes community/parent advisory group to guide the development of programs and services.
6. Coordinates volunteers, including recruitment, selection, training and supervision.
7. Coordinates special events including clothing drives, school supply drive and holiday exchange, with support from LTL teammates.
8. Manages funds in assigned budget categories.
9. Assists with orientation and training of new Community School Coordinator staff.
10. Provides translation and interpretation services for clients and others as time allows.
11. Keeps LTL Director apprised of successes, obstacles and challenges related to all aspects of program development and implementation as well as relationships with key stakeholders.
12. Maintains confidentiality of clients according to EveryMind Confidentiality Policy.
13. Adheres to EveryMind and Youth and Family Services Division (YFS) policies established by EveryMind Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Program Officer, and Division Director.
14. Consistently represents EveryMind and the LTL program in a professional manner. Treats all students, families, community members, school personnel, partners, donors, teammates and others with respect.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Supervision to be exercised:
Occasional supervision of interns and volunteers.
Supervision to be received:
At minimum, bi-monthly supervision with Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:
At least two years of college coursework. Bachelor’s level degree in social service field strongly preferred.
Experience:
Two years successful experience in the social services field.
Skills:
Strong resource development and referral skills. Demonstrated organizational and community building skills. Accurate record keeping and data entry proficiency. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
