Cloud & IT Systems Engineer – Contract

• Location: Remote (US East Coast strongly preferred)
• Type: 12-Month Contract (40 hours/week)

Join a leading geospatial analytics company on a mission to deliver actionable Earth intelligence. We’re seeking a highly capable Cloud & IT Systems Engineer to take ownership across cloud infrastructure, IT operations, and infrastructure automation — directly supporting core platform uptime, security, and internal systems.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain cloud environments (AWS) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Administer internal tools (GitHub, Okta, SharePoint, Miro, Atlassian suite)
• Manage SaaS integrations, system provisioning, access management, and IT inventory
• Collaborate with 3rd-party IT vendors for hardware and Windows environment support
• Support deployment pipelines (CI/CD) with technologies like Bazel
• Contribute to documentation, security processes, and compliance-readiness
• Must-Have Skills:
• 4 years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Systems roles
• Strong AWS hands-on experience (IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Okta administration and SaaS systems management
• Scripting (Python or equivalent)
• Excellent documentation & cross-functional communication
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Bazel
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC2, CMMC, FedRAMP)
• Familiarity with cost optimization in AWS environments
• Previous support of Agile engineering teams)
