You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to model and optimize real-world spacecraft behavior and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full 6-DOF attitude and orbit simulations, including modeling of spacecraft dynamics, sensors, actuators, and environmental effects
- Design and implement advanced control algorithms such as PID, LQR, and optimal controllers
- Develop and validate state estimators including Kalman filters
- Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate robustness and system performance
- Perform system identification and model validation using flight or test data
- Implement algorithms in MATLAB and C , with a focus on performance and accuracy
- Collaborate in a Git-based Linux development environment with other engineering teams
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems, Applied Physics, or a related field
- Strong background in orbital mechanics, rigid body dynamics, and estimation theory
- Experience developing GNC algorithms for LEO, GEO, or interplanetary missions
- Proficiency with Monte Carlo analysis, system identification, and HIL testing
- Skilled in MATLAB and C for algorithm development and simulation
- Comfortable working in a version-controlled (Git), Linux-based environment
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency (Green Card) required due to export control regulations
Salary : $140,000 - $190,000
