RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform all duties in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies (e.g., Quality, Safety, Environmental).
  • Ability to focus on Continuous Improvement.
  • Documents work according to standards.
  • Follows written and verbal direction.
  • Summarizes observations and activities both verbally and in writing when appropriate.
  • Learns and executes basic job operations.
  • Learns and utilizes all forms, records, and reports to assure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Learns relevant policies and procedures and applies them to the job.
  • Learns basic departmental function and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and working with fractions.
  • Accept and support decisions.
  • Works well with others.
  • Able to learn and perform basic trouble shooting skill on existing instrumentation/lab equipment and make repairs.
  • Learn to perform Preventative Maintenance on existing equipment to keep it in compliance.
  • Document work performed in SAP, including history notes and time charged to all work orders and PM’s.
  • Execute weekly work schedule and adjust to reactive requests as needed.
  • Acknowledges and learns to build on the ideas and contributions of others.
  • Respects diverse opinions.

  • Accepts responsibility for personal actions.
  • Enthusiastic about self-development and learning.
  • Completes all training prior to execution of activity.
  • Follows company policy.
  • Reads, understands, and follows the Safety and Environmental cautions provided with the Batch Production record, MSDS or other safety and environmental guidance.
  • Understands and follows the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability, and communication with supervision.
Quality:
  • Everyone is responsible to meet fundamental cGMP requirements relating to their conduct and work practices to ensure the SISPQ (Safety, Identity, Strength, Purity, Quality) of the products manufactured at Evonik Tippecanoe Laboratories.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Adherence to all written instructions.
  • Timely reporting of all deviations to supervision.
  • Training on each activity is completed and current and that each employee understands their assigned duties.
  • Strict documentation practices are followed to ensure that all steps of the operation are appropriately documented.
  • Ensure to maintain the work area in a state of cleanliness and sanitation through good housekeeping practices and applying good personal health practices.
  • Ensure the security and safety of the product through the reporting of any potential risk to supervision immediately.
  • Ensure the safety of the personnel and product by wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to the operation being executed.
  • Everyone should report any action that they believe could impact the SISPQ of any product immediately to supervision.
Environmental, Safety, Health, & Security (ESHS):
  • Adhere to ESHS programs, rules, & procedures.
  • Assume personal accountability for individual behaviors related to ESHS activities.
  • Have the appropriate knowledge and tools prior to performing a task.
  • Complete all required ESHS training and remain current with applicable learning plans at all times.
Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
  • May be required to work from lifts and scaffolding.
  • May be required to enter confined space.
  • May be required to work in a high noise/high temperature environment.
  • May be required to work outside in an uncontrolled environment.
  • May be required to operate motorized vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to operate powered equipment.
Working Conditions:
  • Typical shifts are 8-hour days Monday-Friday or 12 shifts, days and nights.
  • Flexibility in work hours may be required for contact with those working nights and weekends.
  • Hazardous conditions involving the use of acids, caustics, other hazardous chemicals, and potential allergen.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 2 years of Industrial Instrumentation experience.
  • Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or Applicable Technical training.
  • Read and use manufacturer’s service manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer base and other crafts.
  • Have a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills to utilize, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Solid planning, organizing, and documentation skills.
  • Must have mindset to work safely.
