The ideal candidate will have prior insurance billing experience and knowledge of MS Office and EHR software. They will be results-driven and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medical billing codes (ICD 10, HCPCS & CPT codes).
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail.
- Collaborate with medical office staff and other departments to ensure accurate and complete documentation for billing purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- Associate's degree (preferred).
- Behavioral health out-of-network billing: 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge and experience with CollaborateMD EMR and billing software programs.
- Experience with ABA therapy preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications relevant to medical billing.
- Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings.
- Experience with CollaborateMD a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
