Occupational Therapist

Requirements and Qualifications

• NYS Registered Occupational Therapist.
• CHT highly preferred.
• 2 years experience in high volume outpatient orthopedic setting (upper extremity).
• Experience with custom-made splints preferred.
• EMR experience required, MEDENT preferred. Physical Demands
• Clinic / gym environment; considerable physical activity.
• Heavy lifting, pushing, and / or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
• Required to stand majority of shift.
• Close proximity to patients and coworkers.

Job Summary Work closely with orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians to plan and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and / or bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Treat a variety of patients including pre- and post-op, athletes, occupational, and more. Duties and Responsibilities
