Job Duties:
- Directs nursing service activities.
- Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of patient clinical records, and writes reports on staff performance and services rendered.
- Maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies.
- Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Maintain awareness of current operational policies and procedures which impact position responsibilities.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Demonstrate comprehensive, professional knowledge and skills in conformation with nursing standards including the Patient Bill of Rights standards for patient care and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required for optimal patient care
- Ability to perform head-to-toe assessment or reassessments on all patients as per policy
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Nursing Diploma
- Ability to fluently read and speak English
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions
- Current BLS, ACLS
- 4 years of full-time RN experience in Med/Surg or 4 years combined experience in related positions
- 1 years in a supervisor role preferred
