Security Systems Design Engineer (SR)

Position: Security Systems Design Engineer – Access Control

Location: Remote (Candidates based in TN, GA, or NC preferred; some travel required)

Compensation: $90,000–$105,000 annually performance-based bonuses

Schedule: Flexible, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to design customized, technically sound security system solutions.
• Develop comprehensive system designs, bills of materials (BOMs), and pricing for IP video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
• Conduct on-site surveys and consultations to gather client requirements and ensure accurate system proposals.
• Support pre-sales initiatives by preparing proposals, technical documentation, and presentations.
• Stay current on the latest security technologies through manufacturer-sponsored training and certifications.
  
  

Qualifications

Experience & Education:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security systems design, estimation, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems (MIS) is preferred.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of IP-based security systems, including video surveillance, access control, and alarm technologies.
• Understanding of network security, voltage standards, PoE, and low-voltage integration principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with proposal and technical documentation is essential.
• Industry certifications from vendors such as Axis, Genetec, or Avigilon are highly desirable.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year
• Bonuses: Performance-based bonus structure
