Job Overview
This is a critical leadership role within the company responsible for owning the execution of all commercial roofing projects from start to finish. The Commercial Roofing Production Manager is a hands on leader who thrives on efficiency, takes pride in strong execution, and is deeply involved in the day to day delivery of work. This role is accountable for schedules, crews, materials, safety, quality, budgets, and customer satisfaction, while serving as the key connection between the office, field teams, vendors, and clients. Success in this role means projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to company and manufacturer standards, with smooth operations, satisfied customers, and profitable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Oversee multiple commercial roofing projects including new construction and re-roof work from contract execution through final completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and support in house crews, superintendents, and subcontractors while promoting accountability, teamwork, safety, and productivity across all job sites
- Logistics & Materials: Plan and coordinate material orders, deliveries, equipment, and resources across multiple active projects while minimizing waste, delays, and shortages
- Quality & Safety: Conduct regular jobsite inspections to enforce company standards, manufacturer requirements, and OSHA safety protocols, ensuring proper training, compliance, and safe execution at all times
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during construction, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing project closeout including warranties and final documentation
- Documentation: Manage change orders, RFIs, roof plans, progress reports, and daily job documentation while maintaining accurate and timely records in the CRM
- Financial Management: Track job costs including labor and materials to protect margins, identify issues early, and support profitable project outcomes
- Planning: Lead pre job planning including site specific safety plans, crew planning, sequencing, and work efficiency strategies to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems including low slope and steep slope applications
- 5 years of proven experience managing commercial roofing production and overseeing multiple projects at the same time
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct crews, subcontractors, and vendors effectively
- Highly organized with strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly with field teams, office staff, vendors, and clients
- Working knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer installation requirements
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple crews and job sites in a fast paced environment
- Strong understanding of job costing, roof plans, labor productivity, and production efficiency
- Comfortable using project management tools, reporting systems, and documentation platforms and implementing efficent processes and procedures
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Compensation
- Salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 per year, based on experience
- Eligible for a performance based bonus tied to production success
