What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core - APC Primary Care Same Day Access position at Exeter Hospital?
Provides clinical services in a clinic setting for a broad scope of illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages at Primary Care locations as well as After Hours Clinic location.
Requirements:
- Master's degree with certification by Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body
- Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
- BLS certified
- Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting preferred
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides acute same day access for Core primary care.
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records within expected timeframe to complete patient visit cycle. Communicates urgent developments in patient care to PCP.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations; suturing; manages wounds and infections.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management and professional relationships.
- Accepts and completes walk-in, telehealth, and pre-booked appointments as part of daily work.
- Renders patient care with high degree of service excellence, which will be measured by pre-determined patient satisfaction targets.
- Actively reviews and completes team/colleague inbox, PAQ, and paperwork when others are off-shift.
- Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: full time, Rotating Shifts, Varies; 8 hr shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation
