Position Summary
The Fitness Teacher is responsible for teaching Exhale Spas signature class(es). This person must have knowledge of Barre and exercise physiology and class management to maintain a consistent member base with a high rate of return.
Position Requirements
- Maximize Mind Body revenues and ensure quality control by teaching consistently high-quality Mind Body classes of all levels and sizes.
- Assist in classroom and substitute teach, as required.
- Follow Exhale protocol for client greeting, goal setting, health history documentation, and follow-up communications.
- Assess guest level, abilities, and injuries to address specific needs within class.
- Offer one-on-one guest assistance within the class format, as required.
- Constantly increase knowledge of Mind Body philosophies and classes, including terminology and industry progressive treatments and therapies.
- Assist with special projects, events, and promotions as needed.
- Adhere to all corporate, departmental and spa operational policies and procedures.
- Assist with studio clean up and turn over in between classes
- Practice personal hygiene and follow exhale policies for cleanliness and sanitation practices
- Respond to guest questions and associate concerns in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain a high level of guest rapport and service.
- Adhere to company guidelines and core values.
- Attend associate meetings and workshops.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Exhale classes, services, and products.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity and professionalism to internal guests.
- Play an active and hands on role in support the overall units Cleaning and Sanitation procedures. This includes assisting Spa Attendants with daily duties
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Skills Required
- Certification from the Exhale Teacher Training Program
- Minimum of two (2) years professional exercise and/or dance instruction.
- Current CPR certification.
- Complete Exhale Experience Sanitation Certification

Physical Requirements
Must have a high degree of energy and have the endurance to teach and complete class workouts without getting winded or out of breath. Physical demands also include, but are not limited to considerable use of your arms and legs, moving your whole body, lifting (25 lbs), standing, balancing, bending, squatting, jumping, running, reaching, walking, hopping, spinning and kicking. Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely in order to monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and desired by students) and to facilitate challenging exercises as is frequently required.
