Position: STORM Coach
Role Overview:
As a STORM Coach, you'll play a vital role in leading, guiding, and empowering groups of students through a transformative journey. You'll help them develop essential life skills, cultivate emotional intelligence, practice mindfulness, embrace healthy nutrition habits, and nurture physical fitness. Through engaging sessions, you'll foster a culture of empathy, responsibility, and action, while instilling the values of kindness, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead students in reciting the 6 Promises, setting a shared mindset for success.
- Engage students in fun and interactive calisthenic exercises, providing opportunities for leadership development.
- Design and facilitate sessions centered around Leadership Skills, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Mindfulness, Healthy Nutrition, and Physical Fitness.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for students to explore and express emotions.
- Guide students in identifying and managing their emotions through contextualization and coping strategies.
- Incorporate team-building activities and games to enhance understanding of healthy nutrition and its benefits.
- Celebrate and highlight Role Model actions taken by students during lessons, encouraging positive behaviors and leadership.
