Experience
- Three (3) years of experience providing financial management support to programs/projects and/or corporate operations departments.
- Provide advice and technical assistance in preparing annual budgets.
- Measure organizational performance and assess the impact of various programs and policies on the budget.
- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
- Employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program trade-offs, and explore alternative funding methods.
- Analyze past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments affecting organizational spending.
- Develop guidelines and policies for budget formulation and maintenance.
- Conduct training sessions on new budget procedures for company or government personnel.
- Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders and manage finances across multiple funding types.
- Track budgets, costs, and variances, and produce executive summaries.
- Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
- Develop and propose courses of action (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying financial management principles, processes, techniques, policies, and regulations aligned with organizational strategic goals.
- Strong research methods and statistical analysis skills.
- Experience with financial/analytical software (e.g., spreadsheets).
- Collaborative experience in delivering products or services.
- Familiarity with the Navy Working Capital Fund business model.
