Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to handle multiple projects, and support multiple rooms. This role involves engaging with children between the ages of 3 months and 3 years of age; focusing on their academic, social, and emotional growth. The Float Teacher will be responsible for supporting all lead teachers, overseeing all kitchen prep and assisting parent volunteers.
The short of it: We are seeking an energetic and educated early childhood professional to support our teachers and classrooms, ages 3 months to 3 years of age.
Duties
- Prepare morning and afternoon snacks as well as lunches (prepped by parents, warmed up by Floater Teacher)
- Support classrooms in ensuring they have all the supplies that they need each day. (wipes, gloves, spray, diapers, etc.)
- Act as a Substitute teacher when the Lead is out (Must be Lead Qualified in the state of Colorado)
- Support engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special education needs, as instructed by the Lead Teacher.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Maintain classroom management to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
- Oversee and maintain school kitchen
- Support and direct daily parent volunteers
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education and childhood development.
- Experience working with students in early childhood setting.
- Ability to create nurturing relationships with toddlers and young children.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Passion for educating children and supporting their overall well-being.
- Lead Qualified - Level 1 or above on PDIS
