What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior PHP Software Developer (DoS) (Remote) position at Expression?
Expression is looking for a software developer with experience in PHP and WordPress, to join our team in the Washington, DC area. This person will be responsible for working independently and within a team while being involved in all phases of the development lifecycle for custom client/server web-based applications, including WordPress's Gutenberg editor enablement, a page-builder style editor allowing the editor greater flexibility with content while keeping the user experience on brand.
Your responsibilities include:
- Deliver feature enhancements to the full stack
- Work with developers on tickets in progress
- Issue bug remediation and coordinate fixes with QA testing
- Keep up with monthly development environment builds in Jenkins
- Navigate AWS Cloudwatch logs and related data for troubleshooting and by request
Required Qualifications:
- Public Trust required
- 2 years of experience in PHP and WordPress
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Jenkins, AWS Cloudwatch, and React
- Ability to work in a collaborative fast-paced team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with your team in a remote setting
