What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor position at Expressway Auto Group?
Expressway Chevrolet, is seeking an organized and motivated Service Advisor with good communication skills and ability to increase shop productivity and sales. This is a full-time position that encompasses writing, selling service, and assisting in dispatching and tracking of technicians. Excellent customer service skills, automotive knowledge, and strong computer literacy required. Some years of experience in an independent auto repair environment is recommended. Compensation based on experience and ability (Base Commission).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues
• Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations
• Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service, and community relations.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently
• Increase profitability by maximizing sales & execute retail promotions
• Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times
• Oversee and participate in quality control
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
• Proficient use of computers/business machines
