About The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will help build out the team’s technical vision and direction as well as establish processes and drive initiatives. We’re looking for a servant leader who values growing the people on their teams alongside a strong desire to develop collaborative & effective organizations.

At Extend, you’ll:

• Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers and technology projects
• Provide mentorship and career-building opportunities for direct reports
• Establish a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, a high degree of craftsmanship, and personal growth
• Evangelize software development best practices and set exceptional standards for the team
• Plan, design, communicate, and implement reliable, scalable, and extensible software systems
• Lead technical discussions and plans to improve the company’s overall software quality
• Support the software and area of your team's ownership
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on product and technical roadmaps

About The Candidate

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
• Proven management track record of working with interdisciplinary product teams (web, mobile, design) in a position of either an Engineering Manager, Tech/Team Lead, Technical Project Manager or Scrum Master
• Prior experience managing a fullstack team including mobile, web, and backend engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to get on well with various colleagues from tech to business,
• Experience running and mentoring cross-functional teams
• Empathetic, honest, and open
• The ability to give constructive feedback
• Outcome over output approach
