Bachelors degree in Special Education, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a Human Service related field or a Registered Nurse required for the QIDP. Must meet Federal standards to qualify as a QIDP. A minimum of two years experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. **If applicant has a Bachelor's degree in any other field of study, he/she can qualify for the QIDP Assistant position. Must have management experience.
Applicants without a degree may qualify for the QIDP Assistant position.Must be able to design, implement, and monitor active treatment programming for Individuals served. Must be able to supervise, manage, and train residential staff. Must have knowledge of ICF/MR regulations is preferred. Must be able to demonstrate skills in the areas of oral and written communication, organization, and leadership. Must be able to manage financial accounts. Computer/technology: Computer skills and experience using Internet/Intranet, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and database applications is strongly preferred. Demonstrates commitment to ARCA’s Workforce/Supervisory Competencies. Must be an ARCA approved driver.
The QIDP is responsible for performing initial and on-going assessments of Individuals receiving services to identify learning and training needs. The QIDP works with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and to establish program goals and objectives. The QIDP trains and monitors the direct teaching staff to implement and document the progress of individual programs and to evaluate and design the teaching strategies. The QIDP may supervise a Residential Manager who supervises the direct teaching staff and oversees the overall management of the ICF/MR facility. In some facilities the QIDP has direct responsibility for hiring, training, supervising and evaluating the direct teaching staff, facilitating weekly staff meetings, and overseeing the general management of the home to ensure compliance with ICF/MR licensure and quality assurance standards. This may include but is not limited to managing household financial accounts and the Individuals receiving services allowance accounts, maintaining household and the Individuals files/records, overseeing general household maintenance, and administering the facility safety program. The QIDP is responsible for writing and adhering to the annual financial budget for each home assigned to them. The QIDP is responsible for following ARCA Quality Improvement programs at their sites. Caseload: 14-16
Hours: Monday through Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm but may vary according to program needs.
Salary: $28.00 to $30.00 depending on education level and field of degree
