Role

The Manufacturing Engineer is a member of the Manufacturing and Engineering Teams that continuously seek to improve manufacturing efficiency while exceeding customers’ expectations in terms of quality and delivery.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting all daily Magnetics manufacturing at our Longwood FL site by leading the following activities:

  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Support the manufacturing floor with product or process issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all documentation (BOMs, Work Instructions, etc.) are adequately maintained and available in a timely manner.
  • Manage all improvement projects by prioritizing resources to improve ROI.
  • Support all product transfers between manufacturing facilities.

Experience

  • Strong experience in operator-dependent production manufacturing systems.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting efficiency issues and material & information flows.
  • Strong hands-on experience in identifying issues in Manufacturing or Design and in implementing solutions.
  • Good Knowledge in supporting electro-mechanical assembly processes (soldering, lead assembly, core assembly, and encapsulation).
  • Excellent written & oral communication, and computer skills including the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use CAD software in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with GD&T.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering under disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3 years in an engineering position with a focus on continuous improvement in a similar industry
  • High sense of urgency and customer commitment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong passion and ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment leveraging critical thinking.

  • This position is full-time at the Exxelia site located in Longwood, FL.
