What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Assistant / Receptionist position at Eye People Optometry?
A full-time Optometric Assistant / Receptionist is needed for our upscale, high-volume private optometry practice, EYE PEOPLE Optometry. We carry designer brands such as CHANEL, Gucci, Tom Ford, YSL, Burberry, Versace, Tiffany, etc.
We were recently featured on the show, "Destination LA" airing on CBS.
Excellent customer service or retail experience is preferred. We will train the right motivated candidate and if desired, can train the candidate to become an OPTICIAN.
This is an entry level position that often leads to a career without the need of formal education. Optometric Assistants can be trained to become Opticians (frame styling, lens fitting, etc.) or Optical Lab Technicians (cutting prescription lenses, adjusting glasses, etc.). Many will go to school to learn what you can with us as no schooling is typically required to become an optician.
Think of it as getting paid to learn a craft. No tuition, just on the job training to give you the skills you need to advance into a career.
Duties include administrative and receptionist tasks such as scheduling appointments, pre-testing patients, dispensing glasses and contacts, checking out patients and pulling insurance authorizations, etc.
Full availability is required including weekends.
