Ophthalmic Refracting Technician
Private practice is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, dedicated, ophthalmic technician with the ability to work as a team player in a very fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmic care, EPIC, outstanding customer service skills, understanding of health insurance, excellent interpersonal, organizational and appointment scheduling skills. Requires close attention to detail.
Duties include (but not limited to): Patient workup, testing, eligibility verification, answer a multi-line phone during a busy clinic, HIPPA compliance procedures, schedule appointments, sanitation, updating patient demographic forms, print face sheets, perform various diagnostic tests such as visual fields/OCT/RNFL, auto keratometer, auto refractor, input topical anesthetic, take intraocular pressures, and schedule referrals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
