Description
As a Surgery Scheduler/Physician Liaison you will play a key role on our Surgery Scheduler Team, providing excellent service to patients and physicians. You will board patients for surgery and ensure all appropriate paperwork is collected.
Schedule:
7:30a - 4:00p Monday - Friday
What you will be doing
- Input Surgical Boardings sent from Physician offices
- Verify patient medical insurance
- Set patient surgical times for multiple physicians and ensure they go out to patients on-time
- Process patient charts and obtain required paperwork from physician office
- Verify Physician Block Boarding times
- Process Physician Block Boarding adjustments
- Communicate with Physician clinics as needed to discuss changes/questions/issues
- Other duties as assigned
What you know
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong multi-tasking and computer skills
Desired
- Knowledge of ICD coding and medical terminology
- Previous Surgical Scheduling experience
- Good communication and people skills
