We are seeking a motivated and experienced Licensed Optician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a patient-focused professional with strong optical knowledge and a passion for customer service. You will play a key role in eyewear selection, dispensing, product management, and supporting day-to-day operations while working closely with patients, optometrists, and internal team members.
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and personal preferences
- Take accurate optical measurements to ensure proper eyewear fabrication
- Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses to ensure optimal comfort, function, and vision
- Deliver an exceptional, high-touch patient experience
- Coordinate product orders with vendors, verify shipments, and ensure quality control
- Maintain organized inventory, equipment, and workspaces
- Provide product education and recommendations to enhance patient satisfaction and drive sales
- Identify when patients should be referred to the optometrist for exams or prescription updates
- Support operational initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the business
- Prior optical experience is required (candidates without optical experience will not be considered)
- Active Florida Optician License or Certification – required
- Proven sales experience in an optical, retail, or healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment
