Eyes on Sunset, located within Walmart Optical in Lexington, SC, is seeking a dedicated Doctor of Optometry to join our team as an associate. If you have strong diagnostic skills and a passion for delivering patient-centered primary eye care, we’d love to hear from you!
We provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, accepting both vision and medical insurance. Our modern, fully equipped office includes two exam lanes and advanced technology such as the Maestro 2 OCT/fundus photographer, iCare tonometer, Topcon digital phoropter, manual phoropter, autorefractor, VF, and tech support, all integrated with RevolutionEHR.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye exams to patients to assess vision and detect any potential eye health issues.
- Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed based on examination findings.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions regarding eye health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR systems.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and attend relevant training sessions.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Optometry
- Proficiency in patient care, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding
- Experience with EMR systems and medical records
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Previous experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or optical settings
- Knowledge of pediatric eye care and senior eye care
