We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for inspecting customer premises, identifying pest problems, and implementing effective treatment solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Inspection and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations and assess the level of infestation.
- Determine the type of pests and possible entry points.
- Treatment Application:
- Select and apply appropriate pest control treatments such as products, traps, and preventive measures.
- Use specialized equipment and follow safety protocols to ensure the effective application of treatments.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate findings and recommended treatment plans to customers.
- Provide education on pest prevention methods and safety measures.
- Address customer questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits.
- Submit reports as required by company policies or regulatory agencies.
- Maintenance of Equipment:
- Ensure all pest control equipment is clean, functional, and stored properly.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and vehicles used in the job.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to company policies, local regulations, and industry standards regarding pest control procedures.
- Use and store products in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
- Education and Licensing:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in pest control is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, attics, basements, and outdoor areas.
- Tolerance for exposure to pests and pest control products
