What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coater Technician position at Ezarc Solutions?
We are starting an automatic powder coating line. We are looking for experienced powder coaters to help us in this exciting endeavor.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment to apply powder coating to metal surfaces
- Ensure proper coverage and thickness of powder
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or rework
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Previous experience in powder coating or related field preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Familiarity with welding, machining, and materials handling is beneficial
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge and proficiency with power tools
- Experience with assembly and disassembly of parts and components
- Familiarity with operating a crane is a plus
Skills:
- Proficient in airless paint spraying techniques for powder coating application
- Ability to interpret work orders and follow instructions accurately
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
