Responsibilities
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN is responsible for cooridnation and delivery of high quality care. Includes age appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and education needs. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinical nursing standards; observes, records, and reports resident's condition; advises physician of resident's adverse reactions to drugs and/or treatments. May serve as a preceptor for new LPN team members.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum of 1 year nursing practice preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.
Required Minimum Certification(s)
- Current LPN license in the State of Georgia
Required Skills
- Positive leadership, problem solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write and follow directions to resident's needs.
- Use of Windows-based computer, utilizing electronic health records (EHR), email, internet, computer based learning modules, etc.
