Position Summary

Are you a meticulous accounting professional looking to join a supportive and dynamic team? Fabian Oil is seeking an experienced Accountant to play a key role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records. In this position, you will manage critical financial transactions, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and contribute to the overall success of our organization. Essential Functions

  • Reconcile inventory and multiple bank accounts monthly.
  • Assist with reconciling and filing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tax returns.
  • Prepare and file annual property tax declarations.
  • Monitor and verify customer exemption statuses.
  • Assist with filing the annual Tier II report.
  • Timely file annual licensing for convenience stores, including tobacco, liquor, food, and fuel.
  • Audit petty cash throughout the company monthly.
  • Process daily drafts and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Post customer Zipline credits to wholesale accounts.
  • Post weekly wholesale customer activity (CE, Loadtrack, APV).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Take reasonable care of personal health and safety at work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of financial accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with accounting software such as Great Plains, Cargas, EStore, ADD’s E3, APV, Creative Energies, and Avalara Tax is a plus.
  • Strong language and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret written documents, spreadsheets, and numerical data accurately.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

  • Seated office work with freedom of movement; occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally).
  • Regular use of desktop computers requires hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
  • Frequent stair climbing and occasional physical activity, including bending, standing, and crouching.
  • Quiet office environment with periodic face-to-face, phone, and written communication.
