AAs one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, energy management, and telecom solutions is expanding their staff and seeking an Directional Drill Operator to join the FSG - Telecom team.
Job Description
As a Directional Drill Operator you will perform excavation of Right of Way areas to enable installation of electrical and fiber conduits for our telecom crews. Respond to scheduled or emergency situations as assigned.
A Directional Drill Operator will:
- Operate a directional drill machine in compliance with company operating/safety policies and procedures
- Pot hole as necessary
- Excavate and restore bore pits
- Carry and load material for the project
- Inspect and report any equipment repairs needed to Supervisor
- Assist in hauling equipment to and from the project site
- Clean up and restore work area to original condition.
- Backfill according to right of way guidelines, plans, and specs
- Properly safe off work to pedestrian/vehicle crossings
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout service job/work order process.
- Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience operating equipment specified above.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Must be willing to work nights
- Willingness to perform work outdoors
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Valid and current CDL drivers license to operate assigned company service vehicle
