Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with recommendations to enhance their dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash transactions with care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and adherence to food safety standards.
- Adhere to all sanitation guidelines and restaurant policies regarding food handling and preparation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a server role within the food service or hospitality industry is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately; cash handling experience is required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
