At Fair Chance Learning Academy the Lead Teacher/ Assistant Teacher is the right-hand person to the Assistant Director & Director. The Lead Teacher/ Assistant Teacher has various roles, providing support on all aspects of running a smooth and successful class. Here's a breakdown of their typical responsibilities:
Program and Curriculum:
- Helping develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that adheres to early childhood education standards and best practices.
- Ensuring classrooms comply with state and local child development regulations.
- Evaluating and updating curriculum materials as needed.
Safety and Operations:
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Overseeing classroom daily operations.
- Contributing to maintaining compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
Communication and Administration:
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Working and communicating with administration.
Additional Responsibilities:
- The Lead Teacher / Assistant Teacher must comply with fire, sanitation, and state rules and regulation while at work.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Expertise: Bring some experience to the table, along with a deep understanding (or willing to be trained) of developmentally appropriate practices. You'll ensure these practices are used effectively in the classroom, fostering the growth of young minds.
- Safety Champion: Criminal background check, CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain it) demonstrates your commitment to keeping children safe and healthy. SIDS,BSAC,Playground Safety, EDU 119 is a added bonus!! (willingness to be trained)
- Physically Active & Tech Savvy: Demonstrating and performing computer task, lifting up to 40 lbs., and working in various environments. Being able to get down on children's level and engage in physical activities is a plus.

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
