The Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to serve as a central operational hub for our county-wide health initiatives. This role is a unique blend of strategic "heads-down" planning and high-visibility community leadership.
The Role:
- Logistical Lead: Oversee the Healthy Strides community calendar and coordinate the professional alignment of fitness instructors.
- Project Management: Partner with Fitness Directors and stakeholders to execute large-scale health fairs and community programs.
- Facility Support: Act as a versatile leader providing facility management and interim director support across our Rec Center network.
The Ideal Profile: We need an organized, evidence-based professional who excels at "leading from the middle." You should be comfortable navigating complex schedules, conducting independent research, and building strategic partnerships with hospitals and the health department.
